4  Young  And Successful Entrepreneurs In Malaysia  You Need T o Know  About


Malaysia’s  has  got  some  amazing  success  stories  with  entrepreneurial  acumen  that’s  spot-on  and  today,
we’ve picked  four  -out of  countless others- who have been  successful  in  their  endeavors  to  share with us  some
of their knowledge at the Young Entrepreneurs’ Conference 2015 (Kota Kinabalu).

Before that however, here’s a brief summary of the speakers who will be speaking at the conference.
1. Emily Barner – Borneo T ribal MMA



Emily  S.  Barner  is  the  general  manager  for  the  Borneo  Tribal  Squad  MMA  Team  &  Fitness
Factory  which  promotes  fitness  &  active  living  through  its  classes  &  training  programs  specially
designed  for  everyone.  Including  Muay  Thai,  Boxing,  Wrestling,  BJJ,  MMA,  BoxChix,  Office
Warriors, BodyFit, Yoga & Super Kids!



2. Rashvin &  Azam – Biji – biji Initiative

The  Biji-biji  Initiative  is  a  social  enterprise  that  aims  to  share  progressive  ideas  with  everyone.
They  champion  sustainable  living,  reuse  waste  creatively  and  love  collaborative  production.  By
using  discarded  materials,  basic  electronics  and  passive  building  techniques,  they  aim  to  inspire
our surrounding with fresh and fun approaches to sustainable living.

Their  creations  all  come  from  their  Open  Workshop  in  Kuala  Lumpur  and  if  you  would  like  to
explore your ideas and collaborate with them, they have the space, tools and expertise to share!

Fred  Chong,  a  Malaysian,  is  the  founder  and  Group  CEO  of  Prodigee  Media  and WebTVAsia.  He
is  also  an  established  songwriter,  music  producer  and  multi-genre  creator.  Since  its  founding  in
2005,  Fred  has  built  Prodigee  Media  multi-platform  business  in  film,  TV  and  music  production,
as  well  as  artiste  and  events  management,  leveraging  on  the  exponential  rise  of  digital  media
worldwide for cross promotion and marketing.

Armed  with  vast  experience  in  digital  marketing,  he  ventured  into  the  Multi-Channel  Network
business  by  forming  WebTVAsia  in  2013.  Fred  earned  personal  accolades  for  his  contribution  to
the  entertainment  industry,  accolades  such  as;  British  Cultural  Committee’s  Outstanding  Music
Producer  of  the  Year  2008,  International  Effie  Awards  2009  for  curating  Asia’s  first  ever  online
concert,  Asia  Dragons  Awards  2012  for  Best  Integrating  Marketing  Campaign,  as  well  as  National
Film  Development  Corporation  (FINAS)’s  Malaysia  Film  Festival  Special  Achievement  Award
2013.  He  is  also  active  in  charitable  causes  such  as  volunteering  as  music  director  and  producer
for  the  Singapore  Cancer  Society,  and  UNICEF.  He  loves  writing  songs,  producing  and  traveling.
Fred’s  personal  motto  is:  “Be  Prepared  at  All  Times,  Because  You  Don’t  Know  When  the  Next
Great Opportunity May Turn Up”.

He  is  also  active  in  charitable  causes  such  as  volunteering  as  music  director  and  producer  for  the

hypercompetitive  niche  of  gourmet  burgers,  have  managed  to  defend  their  enviable  lead  by

next envelope-pushing invention.
